Job summary

A well-established technology firm in Ulu Tiram, Johor, seeks an experienced HR Manager to implement HR policies, manage recruitment, and oversee core HR operations for a new plant. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years in HR, ideally within manufacturing, along with solid knowledge of Malaysian labour laws. Fluency in English and Mandarin is required, while Bahasa Malaysia is a plus. This role offers a salary range of RM 5,000 – 8,000.

Job Description
  • Establish and implement HR policies, procedures, and frameworks in compliance with Malaysian labour laws and regulations.
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment activities for the new plant, including manpower planning, sourcing, screening, and interviews.
  • Oversee core HR operations such as payroll coordination, statutory submissions, attendance, employee records, and employee relations.
  • Conduct local salary benchmarking and support the implementation of competitive compensation and benefits structures.
  • Coordinate basic administrative, facilities, and expatriate support matters during the initial setup phase.
  • Prepare HR reports and provide regular updates to China HQ, ensuring smooth cross-cultural communication.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelors degree or above in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related disciplines.
  • Minimum 3 – 5 years of full-spectrum HR experience; exposure to manufacturing or plant setup environments is highly preferred.
  • Solid knowledge of Malaysian labour laws (e.g. Employment Act, Industrial Relations Act).
  • Able to work independently in a fast-paced, setup environment with good problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in English and Mandarin; Bahasa Malaysia is an added advantage.

Salary Range: RM 5,000 – 8,000
