Senior HR Executive

Vertiv is looking for a Senior HR Executive. The role is responsible for effectively supporting and executing the full spectrum of HR strategies, core people processes, operational functions, and key HR projects to drive organizational effectiveness and enhance employee experience.

Responsibilities
Culture and Engagement
  • Build effective relationships within the organization to enable a culture of trust
  • Collaborate with managers and teams to support a high-performance culture and employee engagement
  • Execute culture and engagement initiatives and activities
  • Support the business to retain critical talent and reduce turnover
  • Provide insights from engagement surveys, employee feedback and exit interviews to improve employee retention
  • Proactively participate and contribute to Culture Booster
Talent Acquisition and Onboarding
  • Partner with Hiring Managers, Talent Acquisition, and external agencies to fulfil hiring needs efficiently
  • Support interview coordination and candidate offers, including headcount approvals, role budgets, and visa processes
  • Manage onboarding and orientation for new hires
Compliance
  • Keep abreast of employment laws and regulations in Malaysia
  • Provide advice and support to managers and employees as appropriate
  • Maintain HR documentation, employee records, policies and procedures to meet compliance standards
  • Coordinate internal and external HR-related audits, ensuring a green scorecard, actioning improvements promptly and proactively reducing the risk of any non-conformances
  • Support Payroll in accurate and timely submission of government reports, such as WGEA
  • Provide HR-related information for tenders and customer queries
  • Administer credit card application approvals
Talent Management
  • Support and execute succession planning to build a strong pipeline of talent and leaders
  • Support the development of employees based on the priorities that the business sets out to achieve as well as to support career aspiration of talent
  • Assist to build strong leadership that is focused on high performance, teamwork, and development and retention of talent
  • Support managers to identify training and competency needs of employees, source and organise training activities for learning and development plans
Compensation, Benefits and Cost Management
  • Support the management of headcount and labour cost to ensure fixed cost remains constant
  • Administer monthly forecasting and annual headcount budgeting, providing key insights
  • Support requests for employee moves, salary adjustments, etc. as appropriate, using judgement to constructively challenge and feedback in situations where an alternative approach is better suited
  • Administer the Malaysia benefits program
  • Support the merit review process
  • Identify cost saving opportunities without impacting the performance of the organization
  • Support the management of leave balances
Data Management
  • Ensure accuracy of the data maintenance
  • Analyse and respond to data/census requests
Performance Management and Employee Relations
  • Support performance processes including objective setting, mid-year reviews, end of year reviews
  • Address employee issues including grievances, performance management, investigations, etc.
  • Employee communications (e.g., Townhall, Personnel Announcement, etc.)
  • Employer branding strategies and initiative
  • Provide effective and efficient talent acquisition and retention supports
  • Prepare monthly HR management reports, personnel costing and metrics
  • Responsible for Expatriate and Professional Visit Pass management
  • Work closely with Talent Acquisition team in recruitment and the Compensation & Benefits team in C&B activities and facilitate new hire orientation
  • Administer and coordinate with payroll vendor to ensure timely and accuracy of payroll
  • Identify training and competency needs, source and organise training activities for employee’s learning and development plan
  • Facilitate insurance, leaves and medical related topics
  • Organise staff welfare and engagement activities
  • Advice and ensure governance & compliance of ER/IR & local employment statutory requirements
Other Duties
  • Support on ISO Audit annually
  • Participate in regional or ad-hoc projects
  • Process operational tasks along the HR processes and identify areas for process improvement, automation, to increase efficiency and effectiveness of the HR team as a whole
Qualifications
  • Degree in any discipline with minimum of 5 years of solid HR experience and MNC environment
  • Full spectrum of HR experience including Performance Management, Employee Relations, and Talent Management and good knowledge of Malaysian labour laws and regulations
  • Solid HR processes and enhancement experience
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficient in English language (verbal & written)
