Job summary

A recruitment firm in Johor Bahru seeks an HR Generalist to manage full-cycle recruitment, training and development, employee relations, and compliance with Malaysian labour laws. The successful candidate will have a degree in HR or related field and at least 3 years of relevant experience. Job description
Talent Acquisition
  • Manage full-cycle recruitment: job posting, sourcing, screening, interviewing, salary negotiation, and offer issuance.
  • Coordinate career fairs, university hiring and networking events.
  • Oversee onboarding and ensure smooth new hire integration.
  • Handle all work pass matters (applications, renewals, compliance).
Training & Development
  • Conduct training needs analysis and identify skill gaps.
  • Work with managers to plan learning programs and facilitate training sessions.
  • Maintain accurate training records and ensure timely renewals.
Employee Relations & Engagement
  • Support a positive workplace culture and manage employee grievances.
  • Plan and execute employee engagement and team-building activities.
Compliance & HR Policies
  • Ensure HR policies comply with Malaysian labour laws.
  • Review and update policies when required.
HR Administration
  • Maintain updated HRIS and employee digital records.
  • Prepare weekly/monthly HR reports.
  • Draft HR documents: appointment, confirmation, promotion, and salary adjustment letters.
  • Conduct exit interviews, manage clearance, and update records.
  • Support other HR tasks as needed.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as an HR Generalist.
  • Degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Malaysian Employment Act and statutory requirements.
  • HRIS experience (e.g., Info-Tech) is an advantage.
