Build and iterate the company’s HR system with a primary focus on high-velocity recruitment and performance management, enabling multi-project operations, flexible shifts, and rapid scale-up of annotation teams.

Key Responsibilities
Organisation & Headcount Planning

Develop HC plans based on business forecasts and project peaks/valleys; continuously refine role profiles and person–job fit standards.

Talent Acquisition (Core)

Run end-to-end hiring (experienced, campus, volume) and build multi-channel pipelines (JobStreet, LinkedIn, universities, communities, referrals, vendors). Design and optimise assessment processes (structured interviews, ability tests, work samples/case tasks, interviewer calibration).

Performance Management (Core)

Lead calibration, performance conversations, and PIP; connect outcomes to promotion, compensation, and incentives.

Compensation & Compliance

Partner with Finance/Payroll/EOR to execute payroll; ensure compliance with EPF / SOCSO / EIS / PCB and Employment Act requirements. Define policies for allowances, shifts, overtime, and leave (including night/weekend/public-holiday operations).

Capability & Talent Pipeline

Build grading and competency frameworks; plan training (onboarding, skill L1/L2, supervisory skills); drive internal mobility and succession for key roles.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (open to alternatives with strong experience).
  • 3–5+ years of full-spectrum HR, including hands-on leadership in recruitment and performance.
  • Proven delivery in high-volume / fast-paced environments (BPO, content moderation, call centres, AI data/annotation/crowd ops preferred).
  • Working knowledge of Malaysian labour and payroll compliance (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, Employment Act, public holidays & OT rules, PCB).
  • Strong cross-site coordination and bilingual communication (English & Chinese).
  • Able to build processes from zero to one and iterate quickly in a startup, multi-project setting.
