Job summary

ADI Resourcing in Ipoh invites an experienced Senior Hardware Engineer to drive debugging and development of high-speed hardware. You will prototype, test, and validate boards, working closely with global design teams and firmware/software groups to ensure seamless hardware-to-software interfaces.

The role emphasizes documentation, test method development, and BOM procedures, with exposure to agile workflows and cross-site collaboration.

Qualifications

• Min. 3 years of electrical hardware development experience, preferably in high-speed digital design.
• Knowledge of analog/digital and RF circuit design.
• Knowledge of PCB vendor selection & evaluation, electronics hardware interfacing and verification & trouble shooting of electrical circuits and equipment.
• Documentation control system to record test environment, preferred experience with Agile.
• Verification and troubleshooting of electrical circuits and equipment.
• Knowledge in window-based workstation.
• Understanding of microcontroller programming.
• Some software skills required to be able to debug in a test environment.

Responsibilities

• Debugging and issue resolution of production test boards with real-time troubleshooting.
• Make, troubleshoot, and characterize first prototypes of designed test boards.
• Closely cooperate with test hardware design engineers in INDIA/U.S.
• Cooperate with software and firmware developers to interface designed hardware to software layer.
• Help with the transfer of new tests from INDIA/USA or other sites and establishing test debug methodology/procedures.
• Responsible for electrical hardware development to facilitate performance testing of transceiver modules and its components.
• Prepare prototype or engineering samples and perform engineering evaluation to meet specification.
• Carry out preliminary BOM initialization, test procedures, manufacturing test procedures and engineering documentation.
