Senior Grinding Machinist – Precision & Maintenance

Job summary

MeHow Medical (M) Sdn Bhd in Penang, Malaysia, is seeking a skilled precision grinder operator to join our manufacturing team. You will operate grinding machines, inspect parts, and maintain tools to meet drawings and tolerances.

You will read technical drawings, use measuring gauges, perform routine maintenance, and uphold safety and 7S in the grinding area. The role requires a minimum of 3 years' experience and knowledge of mould/tooling is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience operating grinding machines.
• Basic knowledge of mould/tooling and mould-related processes.
• Basic knowledge of mould drawing software and able to interpret drawing dimensions.
• Proficient in operating grinding machines, including basic machine maintenance and upkeep.
• Able to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Familiar with using measuring instruments and gauges for dimensional inspection.
• Able to perform grinding operations according to required specifications and tolerances.
• Good problem-solving, execution, teamwork and learning abilities.
• Responsible, hardworking, proactive, patient and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for usage and maintenance of general measurement jigs and tools
• Responsible for accomplishing workpiece processing assigned by leader punctually according to processing progress, drawings and processing requirements
• Responsible for conducting self-inspect and finished handling for processed workpiece according to processing technology and drawings requirements
• Responsible for operating precision surface grinding machine, manual grinding machine and watermill according to safety operation instructions
• Responsible for daily, weekly and monthly inspection and maintenance of precision surface grinding machine, manual grinding machine and watermill
• Responsible for operating according to precision grinding machine tolerance standard
• Responsible for safety and 7S management of grinding machine area
• Responsible for conclusion and training of working experience and skills
• Responsible for review and execution of strategy for abnormal processing problems
