As a Senior Game Sound Designer at Tap Go Sdn Bhd, you will play a crucial role in crafting the audio landscape for our exciting range of mobile games. Working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, you will be responsible for designing and implementing cutting‑edge sound effects, music, and ambient audio that immerse players and elevate their gaming experience. This full‑time position is based in our Bangsar South, Kuala Lumpur office.

What you'll be doing

• Collaborate with the game design and development teams to conceptualize and execute the audio vision for our games
• Design, record, and edit high-quality sound effects to enhance in-game actions and events
• Compose original music and soundtracks that complement the game's mood and style
• Implement audio assets seamlessly into the game engine, ensuring optimal performance and integration
• Continually iterate and refine the audio elements based on user feedback and design requirements
• Stay up-to-date with the latest audio technologies, trends, and best practices in the gaming industry

What we're looking for

• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a sound designer in the gaming industry, with a strong portfolio of work
• Proficiency in audio software such as Pro Tools, Cubase, Reaper, Logic Pro
• Familiar with audio middleware (Wwise, FMOD) and integration in game engines (Unity/Unreal)
• Excellent understanding of sound design principles, including sound synthesis, sound effects creation, and music composition
• Fluency in Mandarin and strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross‑functional teams
• Ability to work well under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing project requirements
• Passion for gaming and a keen ear for creating immersive audio experiences
