Job summary

Send is a community-first tech startup building smart, inclusive solutions for everyday businesses in Malaysia. You will own features across the frontend and backend, guiding technical decisions and delivering reliable software.

Responsibilities include building React/Next.js interfaces, implementing C#/.NET backend APIs, and ensuring secure, scalable order and payment flows. You will mentor engineers, review code, and collaborate with product and QA to ship high-quality features.

Qualifications

• Ownership of production web applications spanning frontend and backend.
• Strong production experience with React, Next.js, and TypeScript, including client and server rendering, forms, and API state management.
• Hands-on backend with C# and .NET, REST APIs, relational databases, and SQL.
• Understanding authentication, server-side authorization, secure session handling, and data protection.
• Ability to write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests and troubleshoot failures.
• Experience with Git, code review, CI/CD, and cross-functional delivery.
• Clear communication and mentoring with explicit tradeoffs.
• Ability to use AI tools to improve productivity and guide team; evaluate designs, refactor code, prepare tests and docs.
• Ability to provide clear AI context, review outputs, and explain improvements; protect code and credentials per policy.

Responsibilities

• Own features from requirement clarification and design through implementation, testing, release, and production follow-up.
• Build responsive, accessible interfaces with React, Next.js, and TypeScript, including forms, state management, loading states, and error recovery.
• Implement backend functionality and API integrations using C# and .NET, working with backend engineers on contracts and data consistency.
• Design reliable order and payment journeys, including duplicate submissions, delayed responses, and failure recovery.
• Improve performance, security, automated tests, CI, and release readiness.
• Review code, explain architectural tradeoffs, mentor engineers, and coordinate dependencies with product and QA.
