Senior Full Stack Engineer (AI-Native) - Contract Role

We’re looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer who is highly trained in AI — someone who can prototype fast, ship experiments, and scale winning ideas into production-grade systems. This is not a typical engineering role. You will operate like a technical co-founder, working directly with Vishen and the Innovation Team to build new AI-powered features, products, and experiments that shape the future of Mindvalley. You should be equally comfortable writing quick prototypes, hacking together AI workflows, and later designing scalable architectures once the concept has traction. If you thrive in ambiguity, love shipping fast, and have strong instincts for what makes AI products actually work — this is your role.

Key Responsibilities

• AI Product Engineering
  • Build AI-powered features end-to-end: prototypes → MVPs → scalable systems.
  • Implement and fine-tune models (OpenAI, Anthropic, Llama, embeddings, vector DBs).
  • Develop agents, pipelines, prompt-based logic, and automated workflows.
  • Evaluate AI model performance, accuracy, latency, and cost efficiency.
• Rapid Prototyping & Experiments
  • Work directly with Vishen + Innovation team to turn ideas into live experiments within days.
  • Build fast, modular prototypes to validate hypotheses.
  • Use modern rapid-build platforms (e.g., Lovable, Replit, Bolt, etc.) to accelerate prototyping and ship working demos quickly.
  • Translate early user feedback and data into refined architectures.
• Full Stack Engineering
  • Design and implement modern web applications using React/Next.js or similar frameworks.
  • Build scalable APIs, services, and backend systems (Node.js, Python, Go, or similar).
  • Architect solutions that can move from prototype → production without heavy rewrites.
  • Own deployment and performance optimization.
• Technical Leadership
  • Influence engineering direction across the innovation team.
  • Establish AI development best practices, reusable patterns, and internal tooling.
  • Collaborate closely with product, design, data, and content teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years full-stack engineering experience, ideally in high-velocity product teams/startups.
• Strong hands-on AI engineering background, including:
  • LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Llama, etc.)
  • Vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, Chroma)
  • Retrieval-augmented generation (RAG)
  • Prompt engineering + evaluation
  • Building internal agents/tools
• Proven ability to move between rapid prototyping and scalable architecture.
• Strong ownership mindset — you think like a builder, not a “ticket taker.”
• Experience deploying cloud-native applications (AWS/GCP).
• Expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript + React + Node.js (or Python-based frameworks).

Nice to Have

• Experience with multimodal AI (vision, speech, embeddings).
• Familiarity with workflow automation tools (Make, Airflow, Temporal).
• Hands-on experience prototyping using platforms like Lovable, Replit, Bolt, Cursor, or similar AI-native dev tools.
• Knowledge of CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes.
• Experience in high-growth startups, labs, or innovation teams.
