Job summary

ZUS COFFEE is seeking a Senior Frontend Developer to build and improve our web apps across teams and markets, from internal platforms to new products built from the ground up.

This role is about feature ownership, elevating frontend quality, and shaping how we build frontend going forward. You will collaborate with Product, Design, and Backend to deliver robust, accessible, and scalable web experiences.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering experience with 4+ years in React.
• Own significant features end-to-end, not just contribute to them.
• Track record of improving a codebase, performance gains or reusable components.
• Frontend CI/CD and deployment: building, hosting, and releasing web apps on AWS.
• Experience in product-driven or startup environments with evolving requirements.
• Strong understanding of React rendering: hooks, memoisation, and diagnosing re-renders.
• Experience with state management patterns (server vs client state).
• Experience in testing and writing testable code across languages/frameworks.
• Solid HTML/CSS, responsive layouts, and WCAG accessibility.

Responsibilities

• Features from requirement to release with Product, Design, and Backend collaboration.
• Translate business rules into dependable frontend logic with multi-step flows.
• UI that is responsive, accessible, with loading, empty, error, and retry states.
• Contribute to a shared component library used across teams.
• Contribute to team foundations: tooling, conventions, and quality practices.
• Maintain reliability after release: monitor error rates and performance.
• Document decisions and trade-offs beyond steps.
• Provide code reviews and day-to-day guidance to juniors.
