Job summary

Capture Consulting Malaysia is seeking an experienced Senior Frontend Developer to join our agile engineering team. Build and maintain high-performance, user-facing web apps using React, Next.js, and TypeScript, collaborating with design and product teams to deliver polished UI.

You will mentor junior engineers, contribute to technical direction, optimize performance, and ensure best practices across SEO, Core Web Vitals, and security. Remote-friendly hybrid options are available in Malaysia.

Qualifications

• 4–6+ years of professional React.js experience.
• Experience with SSR, SSG, ISR rendering strategies.
• Strong semantic HTML and modern CSS.
• Proficient with the Node.js ecosystem.
• Solid understanding of SEO, Core Web Vitals, security.
• Experience implementing secure auth flows (JWT, OAuth 2.0).
• Proven mentoring or team leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain interactive, performant web apps using React, Next.js, and TypeScript.

• Provide estimates for new features and assist in scoping.
• Define and monitor performance via APM and logging.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain highly interactive, performant, and SEO-friendly web applications using React, Next.js, and TypeScript.
• Collaborate with product teams and UI/UX designers using Figma and our Design System to deliver seamless, intuitive user experiences from concept to launch.
• Provide engineering estimates for new features, assist in project scoping, and support technical resource planning.
• Establish and maintain application performance monitoring (APM) and logging systems (e.g., Sentry, Datadog) to ensure reliability and visibility.
• Define and document technical architecture, conduct trade‑off analyses for new frameworks or tooling, and manage technical debt reduction.
• Work closely with the backend team to optimize data retrieval for a fast and responsive user experience.
• Conduct thorough PR reviews, uphold code quality standards, and promote frontend best practices.
• Mentor and upskill junior engineers, providing guidance, code reviews, and technical support.
• Contribute to the engineering culture by staying current with the latest frontend technologies, frameworks, and industry trends.

Key Requirements:

• Min 4-6 years of professional experience with React.js
• Experience with frontend rendering strategies: SSR, SSG, ISR
• Expertise in semantic HTML and modern CSS
• Well‑versed in the Node.js ecosystem
• Deep understanding of web best practices: SEO, Core Web Vitals, security
• Experience integrating secure user authentication flows (JWT, OAuth 2.0)
• Demonstrated experience in mentoring or leading teams
