Position Summary

Reporting to the Finance Services Record-to-Report Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for collating, reviewing, and preparing the Group’s financial and management data to comply with corporate, IFRS and statutory requirements.

The Record-to-Report function is typified by a series of stringent reporting requirements which must be achieved. Within these constraints the incumbent prepares actual results, monthly, quarterly, annual financial reporting package and submission of statutory financial statements to the country authorities. The incumbent is also expected to ensure the maintenance of supporting systems, procedures, and internal control principles.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare, review and analyze financial reporting to ensure accurate and timely reporting of results. Comply with IFRS, and local accounting standards in the preparation of financial reports.
  • Maintain assigned systems, processes, or process components in good working order and identify and recommend system improvements to ensure timely, relevant, and accurate Financial Accounting Information. This includes, but is not limited to, responsibility for SAP and other systems’ reconciliation process, standing and recurring journal entries, fixed asset schedule, intercompany matrix, and service invoicing to affiliates.
  • Ensure the integrity of monthly financial statements is maintained by conducting detailed account reconciliation and variance analysis to ensure the financial records accurately reflect the current status of transactions and events. Liaise with relevant accounting firm, auditor, tax team and prepare compliance documents and reports to submit to the relevant authority according to timeline set.
  • Work collaboratively with internal clients to achieve business objectives and efficiently provide the essential support services to the organization.
  • Identify and make recommendations that optimize business processes and improve financial and internal controls and other business practices in alignment with LEAN and culture of continuous improvement.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Accounting or professional accounting qualifications such as CPA, MIA, ACCA, CIMA or its equivalent with minimum 3 to 5 years of financial accounting exposure
  • Practical knowledge of country and IFRS Accounting requirements
  • Able to meet stringent reporting deadlines and handle corporate reporting and statutory reporting responsibilities.
  • Team player with good communication and interpersonal skills
  • An independent person with a high degree of maturity, integrity, and initiative.
  • Good command of written and spoken English is essential.
  • Good command of any other Asian language would be an advantage.
