Job summary

A leading biopharmaceutical company in Johor Bahru is seeking a Senior Finance Manager. This role requires over 10 years of experience, specializing in finance and treasury management within the manufacturing sector. The selected candidate will oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and support the CFO in day-to-day operations. The position offers a competitive salary of up to RM 18K per month.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Specialization in the Manufacturing sector.
  • Experience in a Supervisory/Senior Managerial role.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Accounts payable and receivables functions.
  • Oversee treasury and banking operations.
  • Conduct monthly departmental expense MIS with variance analysis.
  • Prepare annual and long-term expense plans.
  • Support CFO on day-to-day operations.

Role - Senior Finance Manager

Requirement for Senior Finance Manager

  • Manage Accounts payable function
  • Manage Accounts receivables function
  • Oversee treasury and banking operations, including compliance with central banking regulations and optimization of interest cost.
  • General ledger review and reconciliation.
  • Bank reconciliation
  • Monthly departmental expense MIS with variance analysis with plan/forecast.
  • Monitor monthly operating results and analyze variances.
  • Monthly, quarterly and annual financial book closure.
  • Monthly management reporting
  • Manage statutory and internal audits.
  • Prepare annual and long‑term expense plans.
  • Effective cash management and cash flow reporting & monitoring.
  • Operational cost management.
  • Support CFO on day to day operations and facilitate achievement of profitability goals.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve financial and operating efficiency.
  • Develop and implement continuous improvement plan under Centre of Excellence framework.
  • Develop automation plan to improve finance team productivity.
  • Business partnership with departmental HOD’s to improve operational cost efficiency
  • Review and monitor internal controls.
  • Maintain policies & procedures and recommend changes as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with Group reporting requirements
  • Oversee employee training & development.

Qualification: Qualified Chartered Accountant / CPA

Specialization: Experience in Manufacturing sector

No. of years: 10+ years

Behavioral/Managerial skills:

  • Excellent finance technical knowledge of P2P, OTC, R2R.
  • Understanding of treasury operations and demonstrated ability to efficiently deal with bankers.

  • Good analytical abilities,
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze business performance and identify performance trend.
  • Exposure to SAP, Microsoft Business intelligence tools, automation tools.
  • Strong inter‑personal development & communication skills
