With commencement of new developments both in Penang and Kuala Lumpur, we are seeking new talents to join our existing team at Runnymede Group.
Responsible for the full spectrum of the finance and account functions including financial reporting, finance operation, corporate finance and taxation.
To manage and supervise day-to-day finance and accounting functions of the Group.
To ensure Group accounts (monthly management reports, reconciliation reports, budgets, statutory accounts, cashflow, progress billing and credit control) are prepared on a timely basis and that all statutory accounts are finalised with auditors, in line with the compliance of the applicable accounting standards and statutory requirements.
To manage consolidation of accounts and group reporting requirements for statutory compliance, financial reports for board of directors’ meetings and shareholders’ requirements.
To undertake and update project feasibility studies for project financings.
To arrange and negotiate end-financings for buyers of the projects.
To undertake tax planning and review of Group’s financial performance and provide insights to board of directors and shareholders.
To work with Contract Department to manage financial aspects of contract management.
To work closely with Company Secretary for corporate secretarial function of the Group.
To review corporate structure and management systems, develop and implement policies, procedures and effective systems of internal control.
To liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers, solicitors, external IT consultants as well as government agencies.
To undertake special assignments, ad‑hoc projects and related duties as and when required.
Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree or Professional Degree in Accountancy / Finance with Professional Accounting Qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, MICPA etc.
The candidate must be a member of Malaysia Institute of Accountants.
Minimum 12 years of working experience, of which at least 5 years in the property development and construction industry with full set accounting and consolidation accounts experience.
Candidate with audit working experience would be an added advantage.
Articulate and proficient in both written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.
IT/Computer literate and proficient in MS Office.
Able to work independently with high degree of integrity and confidentiality.
High level of dependability with a strong sense of urgency.
Strong management and interpersonal skills to effectively manage cross‑functional teams.
Exceptional problem‑solving abilities with hands‑on approaches to challenges.
Pleasant disposition, resourceful, meticulous, attention to detail and able to multi‑task to take on additional responsibilities to grow beyond core role.
