Job summary

A financial services company in Shah Alam is looking for a Senior Finance Executive to manage financial operations, ensure compliance, and oversee reporting. The successful candidate will have a diploma in accounting and 5–7 years of experience, preferably in freight forwarding. This position offers a dynamic work environment and requires strong financial management skills.

Job description
Senior Finance Executive (Logistic/Freight forwarding)

Oversee all aspects of financial management, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting for the company.

Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and government authorities.

Handle full set of accounts on a monthly and annual basis.

Prepare annual accounts and schedules for monthly and annual consolidation.

Manage year‑end reporting, prepare necessary schedules, and coordinate with auditors during annual audit.

Prepare or assist in preparing annual tax computation, supporting schedules, and filing of annual tax return and employee return to IRD.

Daily Operations

Perform daily invoicing, AP invoices, and receipt settlements; ensure timely and accurate recording in the system.

Manage and closely follow up on AR collections from partners in different countries, including credit management (constitutes more than 70% of daily work).

Monitor bank accounts daily and prepare daily/weekly payments.

Handle on‑site banking services in Malaysia.

Monthly Tasks

Process monthly salary payments.

Ensure compliance with LHDN, EPF, SOCSO, and other statutory requirements, including filing to relevant authorities.

Others / Ad Hoc

Handle banking matters, tax matters, government reporting, and other administrative tasks as required.

Requirements

Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Minimum 5–7 years of relevant experience.

Experience in the freight forwarding or shipping industry is preferred.
