Job summary

A leading finance organization in Malaysia is looking for a finance professional to oversee group reporting, ensure compliance with MFRS/IFRS, and assist in financial analyses. The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance, with ACCA or CPA preferred. Responsibilities include preparing financial statements, monitoring transactions, and guiding local finance teams. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential for successful collaboration across departments.

Qualifications

  • ACCA, CPA, or equivalent professional qualification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities
  • Implement finance/business process improvement
  • Coordination of planning and forecasting processes
Group Reporting Scope
  • Prepare and consolidate monthly, quarterly, and annual group financial statements in line with MFRS/IFRS and internal accounting policies.
  • Monitor intercompany transactions, including balances, eliminations, and reconciliations, and prepare and maintain relevant working schedules to ensure reporting integrity.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and ad-hoc financial analyses for management decision-making.
  • Review and assess financial performance of overseas subsidiaries, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Provide guidance and support to local finance teams on accounting, reporting, and compliance matters.
  • Provide insights to management on subsidiary financial health and operational performance.
  • Ensure compliance with local statutory reporting requirements and group policies.
  • Participate in cross-border projects, providing financial insights to support strategic decision-making.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • ACCA, CPA, or equivalent professional qualification is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards (MFRS/IFRS) and financial reporting.
  • Previous audit experience is an added advantage.
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
