Job summary

Straits Orthopaedics (Mfg) Sdn Bhd is seeking a finance professional to prepare and maintain complete accounting records, including journal entries and reconciliations, while ensuring compliance with MFRS, tax regulations, and statutory requirements. You will liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers, and regulators as needed.

You will also support ERP and MES system implementations, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis, contributing to finance transformation and continuous process

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• 2–3 years of accounting/finance experience.
• Knowledge of full set accounting is essential.
• Audit experience is a plus.
• Good understanding of MFRS and Malaysian tax regulations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP and MES systems; Epicor ERP is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Meticulous and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Prepare and maintain accounting records and journal entries.

Maintain full set of accounts, including account reconciliations and financial schedules.

Ensure compliance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS), tax regulations, and statutory requirements.

Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, bankers, and regulatory authorities when required.

Support the implementation and continuous improvement of accounting processes, ERP systems, and internal controls.

Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

Participate in finance transformation and process improvement initiatives.

Perform other finance and accounting duties assigned by management.

About you

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.

Minimum 2 to 3 years of relevant accounting or finance experience.

Knowledge of full set accounting is essential.

Audit experience is an added advantage.

Good understanding of Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and Malaysian tax regulations.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

Experience with ERP and MES systems is preferred; knowledge of Epicor ERP will be an added advantage.
