Job summary

A private company in Kuala Lumpur is looking for a finance professional to prepare full sets of financial accounts and manage treasury functions. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in accountancy and a minimum of 5–6 years experience in finance roles. The ideal applicant will demonstrate strong knowledge in financial reporting and budgeting, possess leadership abilities, and excel in a fast-paced environment. Job description
Responsibilities

Prepare full sets of statutory financial accounts in accordance with MFRS, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.

Prepare management reports including financial analyses, notes to financial statements, key indicators, and variance reports.

Manage treasury functions including online banking, payments, bank relationship matters, cash flow projections, oversee placement, rollover, and monitoring of fixed deposits.

Assist in budget preparation and update financial forecasts and projections.

Oversee month-end closing activities such as journal entries, general ledger maintenance, fixed asset register updates, intercompany reconciliations, and balance sheet reviews.

Ensure the integrity, effectiveness, and efficiency of financial processes and internal control systems.

Maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Perform any other duties or assignments as required by management.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accountancy or a relevant Professional Accounting Qualification.

Minimum 5–6 years of experience in finance or accounting roles.

Strong knowledge in financial reporting, budgeting, treasury, and taxation. Membership in a Professional Accounting Body is an added advantage.

Resourceful, self-motivated, and a good team player with strong communication skills.

Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
