Job summary

A prominent company in Malaysia is seeking a Finance Executive responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing management reports, and managing accounts receivables and payables. The ideal candidate possesses a degree in Business Management, Finance, or Accounting along with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role. Strong command of English and Bahasa Malaysia is essential. Experience in the property or construction industry is a plus. Responsibilities

Job description

The main role and responsibilities of this position are to:

Financial Reporting & Analysis – Maintain accurate financial records. Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual management reports with comprehensive notes and analysis for used in consolidation of group accounts.

Accounts Receivables & Payables – Oversee and handle AP/AR, verify invoices, manage vendor payments and handle income collections.

Banking & Loan Coordination – Manage repayments and interest monitoring matters.

Cash Flow – Monitor and promptly update company cash flow position. Assist in preparation of periodic cashflow for reporting.

Treasury – Manage and operate the treasury investment instruments e.g. money market, fixed income banking instruments etc.

Compliance & Audit – Ensure compliance with all relevant tax and regulatory requirements, accounting standards and internal control policies; support in audits and ensure timely statutory submissions.

SST & E-Invoicing Implementation – Implement and manage SST & e-invoicing in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Process Improvement – Assist in finance process enhancements and ad hoc finance duties assigned by superior as needed.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s or Professional Degree in Business Management, Finance or Accounting.

Minimum 3 years of working experience in a similar role with proven track record.

Experience in the property / construction industry is an added advantage.

Strong command of English and Bahasa Malaysia (spoken and written). Additional languages are an advantage.

Technical requirements

Strong track record in managing full set accounts and preparing financial statements.

Strong knowledge of accounting standards (MFRS/ MPERS).

Knowledge of e-invoicing and Sales & Service Tax (SST) in Malaysia.

Financial reporting and cash flow monitoring.

Proficient in accounting system (experience in Insoft accounting system is an added advantage) and Microsoft Office applications.
