Job summary

A leading construction and engineering firm in Malaysia is seeking a Finance Officer responsible for all financial accounting matters. Key duties include monitoring financial reports, cash flow, compliance, and preparing budgets. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Accounting, with at least 3 years of experience in financial roles. Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills are essential. This role is located in Bayan Lepas.

Qualifications

  • A degree in Accounting or a recognised professional accounting qualification is required.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in financial accounting.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the financial report for internal and external reference.
  • Monitor the Company’s cash flow position.
  • Conduct analytical analysis and reporting for Management decision making.
  • Verify compliance of Company’s internal control and procedures.
  • Liaise with financial institutions and auditors on financial matters.
  • Prepare the financial budget and feasibility study.
  • Advise on corporate compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Prepare reports for periodic meetings.
  • Assist in financial analysis for business development.
  • Oversee day-to-day operational matters of the accounts department.
  • Adhere to Quality, Safety & Health and Environment standards.

Job Summary

Responsible for all Financial accounting related matters and Corporate Affair function.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible to monitor the financial report for internal and external reference and circulation. And to ensure these are completed timely and accurately.
  • Responsible to monitor the Company’s cash flow position.
  • Responsible on ad‑hoc sensitive or analytical analysis, reporting to facilitate the Management on their decision making.
  • Monitor and verifying the daily operating matter on the compliance of Company’s internal control and procedure and accounting policy.
  • Liaise with Head Office, Financial Institution, Auditors, Tax Agent and other Statutory Bodies on accounting and financial related matters.
  • Responsible/assist to coordinate and prepare the financial budget/projection, performance target and feasibility study.
  • Responsible to maintain and advise on all corporate information and submission to ensure compliance of Statutory requirement.
  • Coordinate and prepare of reports for periodic meeting.
  • Assist in search of information and financial analysis on any business development matters.
  • Responsible for the day to day operational matters of the accounts department.
  • To comply and adhere to all matters pertaining to Quality, Safety & Health and Environment related to the job scope and work place as required by the Company.
  • Any other duties that will be assigned from time to time by the Management.
