Job summary

A leading accounting firm in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a qualified candidate to oversee accounts operations. Responsibilities include managing financial tasks, preparing budgets, and liaising with external auditors. Candidates must have a degree in Accountancy and 3-5 years of relevant experience, along with strong communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft applications.

  • Responsible for the day operational matters of the accounts department.
  • Manage and prepare full set of accounts for Mazars Malaysia & Mazars Clients.
  • Prepare annual financial budget, cash flow forecast, and monthly financial reports.

Job description
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the day operational matters of the accounts department.
  • Responsible for General Ledger, Account Receivable and Account Payable being carried smoothly.
  • Manage and prepare full set of accounts for Mazars Malaysia & Mazars Clients.
  • Management of key transaction work streams including direct liaison with Mazars Asia Pacific and former Moores Rowland work.
  • Prepare annual financial budget, cash flow forecast, cost analysis and monthly financial reports to Management
  • To monitor and prepare the reconciliation for all balance sheet items and control accounts.
  • Responsible and assist to coordinate and prepare the financial budget or projection and performance target.
  • Work closely with Directors, Managers and staff in all operation matters relating to finance especially in timely collections of audit fees.
  • Liaise with external auditor and Mazars tax expertise with regards to annual statutory reporting and tax submission.
  • To assist Assistant Finance & Account Manager on ad-hoc work.
  • Any other related job assigned by the Supervisor which deems to be appropriate.
Job Requirements
Education
  • Minimum Degree in Accountancy or any related field
Working Experience
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience.

  • Good communication and people management skills.

  • Good administration skill and recording knowledge
  • Sense of responsibility, integrity and able to handle confidential matters
  • Excellent functional knowledge and skills in using Microsoft applications, i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English. Knowledge of other languages is advantageous.
