Team Overview

About the Role

The primary role of the Supply Chain Manufacturing Finance team is to partner with the site leadership team in driving end‑to‑end forecasting, reporting, analysis, and business support for key strategic decisions.

You will join a global Finance team focused on adding value to their partners every day, with an opportunity to add value to a growing, NYSE and ASX‑listed multi‑national market leader in medical devices.

This role will help in driving both accounting and FP&A activities for our Sydney Manufacturing Operations. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to analyze financial data, identify key performance indicators, and provide strategic insights to optimize performance. Your analytical skills and financial acumen will contribute to the achievement of our financial goals and the overall success of our global operations.

Responsibilities
  • Perform month end inventory closing activities including closing open PO, running various inventory reports, inventory reconciliation to sub ledger.
  • Perform monthly variance analysis, including Purchase Price Variance (PPV), Invoice Price Variance (IPV), Stock Adjustment Variance, Cycle Count Variance and variance capitalization.
  • Perform monthly accrual journal, including Stock In Transit (SIT) analysis and accrual, freight accrual, cross charge journal, warranty analysis and accrual, inventory obsolescence analysis and accrual.
  • Perform expense review with finance and business stakeholders.
  • Open new GL codes, new cost center and answer business queries.
  • Ensure financial compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Perform factory efficiency analysis with key stakeholders.
  • Back up for standard costing update for other team members.
  • Develop and track KPIs for operations; generate performance reports.
  • Analyze financial results and operational metrics to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Provide strategic insights to support decision‑making.
  • Evaluate departmental costs and identify areas for savings and efficiency.
  • Build financial models for capacity planning, capital investment, and cost forecasting.
  • Assess financial viability of initiatives and support strategic planning.
  • Lead process enhancements in reporting, data integrity, and analysis tools.
  • Drive automation and reporting improvements using Tableau, Power BI, and other platforms.
Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to provide financial insights and guidance.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, helping stakeholders understand financial impacts and opportunities.
Ad hoc Analysis
  • Support special projects and conduct ad hoc financial analysis.
  • Provide financial input for operational initiatives and business evaluations.
About You

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in finance or accounting.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in Oracle ERP and advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to challenge the status quo and navigate ambiguity.

Preferred

  • Experience with process automation e.g. Robotic Process Automation.
  • Familiarity with Anaplan, Atoti (Fluence XL), and Excel modelling.
  • Familiarity with data mining in Snowflake.
  • Proactive, curious, and solutions‑oriented mindset.
