Job summary

A leading financial services firm in Penang is looking for an experienced professional to manage financial closing tasks and conduct cost analysis. Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Finance or related field and have 3 - 5 years of relevant experience. Key skills include Power BI and SAP knowledge, along with strong communication and analytical skills. This role is based in Georgetown, Penang.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Finance or related field.
• 3 - 5 years of audit or accounting or controlling experience.
• Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Mandarin is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly financial closing tasks and support global reporting.
• Involve in forecasting cycles and ensure timely submissions.
• Analyze cost details and perform actual vs forecast gap analysis.

Job description

• Key partner to sites/business unit controller
• Monthly financial closing task (eg. Cost/inventory analysis, calculation of provision, allocation keys) to support global management reporting
• Involve in forecasting cycle & ensure timely forecast submission
• Analysis of cost details, actual vs FC gap analysis
• Support creation and maintenance of cost centers and internal order, including maintenance of CO closing cycle
• Leading/Supporting migration projects
• Involve in monthly intercompany charge out based on SLA
• Initiate/Support process improvement through ESSA (eg. standardization, automation)

Requirement

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Finance/Accountancy/Banking, or equivalent
• Audit or accounting or controlling experience 3 - 5 years
• Required Skills: Power BI and SAP (CO module) - is an added advantage
• Good to have : Plant, audit, or budget/forecasting experience
• Strong communication, analytical, and presentation skills. Fluent in English, knowledge of Mandarin is a plus for regional collaboration
