Job summary

A leading financial services company in Malaysia is seeking a qualified financial professional to manage accounting activities and ensure compliance with financial regulations. Responsibilities include preparing financial statements, tax computation, and improving financial workflows. Suitable candidates should hold an ACCA or CPA qualification and have experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 and SAP.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end accounting activities including Accounts Payable and Receivable.

Job description
Responsibilities
1) Financial Accounting & Reporting
  • Manage end-to-end accounting activities, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, and Banking.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts, financial statements, and accompanying schedules.
  • Maintain and review the Chart of Accounts; ensure postings comply with accounting standards.
  • Perform month-end and year-end closing, including necessary adjustments and reconciliations.
  • Handle multicurrency accounting, currency revaluation, and translation processes.
  • Ensure timely preparation and submission of internal and external financial reports.
2) System & Process Management
  • Set up, maintain, and improve accounting systems, workflows, and financial controls for Dubai entities.
  • Ensure robust governance over all financial transactions and approval processes.
  • Support procurement and purchase-related system transactions such as PR, PO, GRN, and 3-way matching.
  • Ensure seamless integration between finance systems and operational modules (procurement, inventory, etc.).
3) Tax, Audit & Compliance
  • Assist in tax computation, VAT-related matters, and compliance for Dubai entities.
  • Liaise with auditors and coordinate interim and final audits.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls, financial policies, statutory requirements, and audit recommendations.
4) Operational & Cross-Functional Supports
  • Provide financial support and reporting to the Director for procurement-related activities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams in Malaysia and Dubai to resolve financial and operational issues.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and other finance improvement projects as required.
Requirement
  • ACCA / CPA (Finalist or Fully Qualified).
  • Freshly qualified professionals or candidates with 3 years’ experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365 & Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience in SAP is an added advantage.
