A local brand in Malaysia seeks a Retail Marketing Executive to manage community partnerships and brand events. Responsibilities include planning and executing initiatives, collaborating with teams for effective activations, and ensuring brand guidelines are met. The ideal candidate should have a Diploma and at least 2 years of relevant experience in retail marketing or event management.
Build and nurture partnerships with local communities, organisations, and groups that align with the brand’s values.
Identify, and execute collaboration opportunities such as community workshops, pop-up events, sponsorships, or CSR initiatives that strengthen the brand’s local relevance.
Serve as the brand’s local ambassador to understand community needs, trends, and sentiments to craft initiatives that build authentic engagement.
Plan, coordinate, and execute brand partnership and store-level events from concept to completion. Including product launches, seasonal campaigns, sponsorships, and collaborations.
Collaborate closely with internal teams including Marketing, Retail Operations, and Brand to ensure each activation aligns with brand strategy, tone, and objectives.
Manage the full event lifecycle from concept development, creative briefing, planning, budgeting, vendor sourcing, production, and on-ground coordination.
Maintain a comprehensive event calendar and ensure timely execution of all planned initiatives.
Coordinate with design and procurement teams to ensure all point‑of‑sale materials (POSM), visuals, and displays meet brand guidelines and are delivered on schedule.
Work with the operations teams to plan and implement in‑store activations, seasonal setups, and product highlights that drive footfall and sales conversion.
Minimum 2 years of experience in retail marketing, brand activation, or event management.
Proven track record in planning and executing community engagement initiatives, in‑store activations, or brand partnerships.
Minimum Diploma in Event Management, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
Strong understanding of retail marketing, consumer engagement, and on‑ground activation strategies.
Experience managing events from concept to execution, including budgeting, vendor coordination, and timeline management.
Familiar with brand and visual merchandising requirements, including POSM and in‑store display coordination.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across internal teams and external partners.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail.
Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); experience with project management tools is an added advantage.
Creative thinker with strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
