Job description
Senior Executive - Quantity Surveying (Penang based)

Prepare and verify preliminary costing during design stage, including the feasibility studies.

Prepare and verify pre-tender estimates and monitor the entire tender process.

Attend design meetings, business unit meetings and project meetings as and when required.

Conduct tender interviews and clarification, evaluate tender reports, prepare Contract Award Proposals and Letters of Award for management approval.

Carry out site valuations and site measurements for progress claims and payment certifications.

Verify variation orders, manage cost control and final accounts to ensure all contract administration in compliance with ISO 9001 procedures.

Evaluate quotations and costing for building services or rectification works as and when required.

Source quotations from suppliers, compare prices, specifications and terms to identify the most suitable option.

Negotiate with suppliers based on the comparison results to secure the best deals for the company.

Requirements
  • Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management.
  • At least 4‑5 years’ experience in contract management, preferably with QS consultants, contractors and property developers.
  • Strong ability to manage the full spectrum of contract administration (pre‑contract and post‑contract).
  • Good negotiation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders effectively.
  • A proactive team leader with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to uphold confidentiality at all times.
