A leading project management firm in Malaysia is seeking a Project Executive to support the Manager in project development and governance. The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree and 3–5 years of relevant experience in project management. Key responsibilities include developing project proposals, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements. Strong communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia are essential. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to diverse projects in a dynamic environment.
To support and assist the Manager in initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, and reporting on existing and new project development initiatives and special projects undertaken by the Group of Companies, ensuring delivery within the approved scope, timeline, budget, and governance requirements.
i. Project Initiation & Development
Assist in identifying and evaluating new development and special project opportunities.
Develop, coordinate, and support project proposals, development plans, concept papers, feasibility studies, business cases, timelines, cost estimates, and approval papers for Management and Board approval.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external consultants to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
Assist in preliminary cost estimates, financial analysis, and risk identification.
ii. Project Planning & Execution
Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, and cash flow projections.
Coordinate consultants, contractors, suppliers, and relevant authorities.
Support procurement processes, including tender documentation, evaluation reports, and recommendation papers.
Monitor progress against milestones, budgets, and KPIs; propose mitigation measures for risks or delays.
Ensure compliance with contractual / agreement, statutory, safety, and quality requirements.
iii. Monitoring, Reporting & Governance
Prepare progress reports, management updates, dashboards, and Board/Committee papers.
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, internal policies, and governance frameworks.
Coordinate audits, inspections, testing, commissioning, and handover documentation.
Maintain proper project records and documentation.
Establish, review, update, and continuously improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for project development, execution, monitoring, reporting, and handover, ensuring alignment with organizational policies, governance frameworks, and applicable regulatory requirements to enhance efficiency, control, and risk management.
iv. Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Support
Liaise with internal departments, subsidiaries, JV partners, consultants, and external stakeholders.
Support Management in strategic initiatives and ad-hoc assignments.
Represent the department in meetings and site visits when required.
i. Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management, Facilities Management, Business Management, Engineering, or related fields.
ii. 3–5 years relevant experience in project development, project management, property/facilities management, or construction-related roles.
iii. Experience in commercial, institutional, accommodation, or mixed-use projects is an added advantage.
iv. Exposure to working with consultants, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
i. Strong knowledge of project development and management principles.
ii. Proven ability to prepare proposals, feasibility studies, reports, and Board papers.
iii. Good analytical, planning, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
iv. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
v. Able to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
