Job Summary

The Senior Executive / Executive, Procurement is responsible for coordinating procurement activities across business units to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of goods and services that meet required specifications and quality standards. The role involves managing day-to-day procurement operations, conducting sourcing and tender exercises, performing cost analysis, and negotiating with suppliers to achieve cost reduction targets.

Responsibilities

Strategic

• Ensure quality, delivery timeline, cost meeting user requirement


• Cost Analysis & benchmarking to improve cost competitiveness


• Supplier base enhancement through new vendor identification

Operational

• Operate day to day business unit requirement and purchase request


• Sourcing activities – supplier recommendation, RFQ / Tender arrangement


• Cost study & negotiation with suppliers


• Communicate approved vendors, pricing and contract requirement


• Resolve supplier / contractor operation issue

Job requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounts/ Business Administrations/ Engineering / Statistic or related fields


• Professional level of spoken and written English and BM


• Proficient in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Microsoft Project


• Hands-on experience with purchasing soft ware


• Good communication and interpersonal skill


• Analytical thinking


• Good teamwork and able to work independently


• Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating and liaising with vendors)
