Role Purpose
To provide high‑level executive, analytical, strategic and operational support to the Head of Operations Planning & Support in ensuring the effective management of departmental priorities and performance. The role serves as the key liaison between the Head and internal stakeholders, driving coordination across planning, manpower, crew, and operational support functions to achieve the airline’s operational efficiency, compliance, and transformation goals. The role ensures effective management of day‑to‑day priorities, cross‑functional coordination, and implementation of transformation programmes to enhance operational efficiency and service delivery.
Key Accountability
- Administrative & Project Support
- Responsible for Flight Operations Weekly Reports, Financial Performance and EVS Analysis.
- Maintain accurate documentation and operational records for Flight Operations.
- Lead departmental initiatives, projects, and process improvements, including digital and system enhancements.
- Collaborate with the Head of Operations Planning & Support to perform any additional tasks as delegated, contributing to the overall success of Flight Operations.
- Responsible for the department daily agenda, meetings, correspondence, and approvals to ensure smooth workflow and prioritisation.
- Prepare briefing materials, presentations, reports, and decision papers for management meetings and board submissions.
- Track and follow up on action items, ensuring timely completion and alignment with departmental objectives.
- Monitor the progress of key departmental projects and transformation initiatives.
- Support the implementation of process improvement, automation, and efficiency initiatives.
- Prepare project updates and performance dashboards for management review.
- Strategic & Operational Planning
- Responsible for supporting the development, monitoring, and execution of the department’s annual business plan, KPIs, and transformation roadmap.
- Conduct data analysis and performance reporting to support strategic decision‑making.
- Coordinate inputs from various units (e.g., Crew Planning, Manpower Planning, Operations Support) for integrated operational plans.
- Stakeholder Management & Coordination
- Manage HOD’s daily agenda, meetings, correspondence, and approvals to ensure smooth workflow and prioritisation.
- Prepare briefing materials, presentations, reports, and decision papers for management meetings and board submissions.
- Track and follow up on action items, ensuring timely completion and alignment with departmental objectives.
- Act as liaison between the HOD and internal/external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and alignment.
- Facilitate cross‑departmental collaboration for initiatives under Operations Planning & Support and liaise with stakeholders including IFS, Fleet Ops, OCC, FSOC and FOT to align operational needs.
- Prepare minutes and summaries of key meetings, ensuring decisions and action plans are accurately recorded and tracked.
- Provide timely communication and updates on operational requirements.
- Governance and Compliance
- Ensure records, plans, and processes adhere to regulatory, safety, and company standards.
- Support internal and external audits, and assist in corrective action follow‑ups.
