Responsibilities
- Ensure equipment is working and not in danger of breaking down to avoid malfunction.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on machines to keep them running smoothly, including replacing worn parts and checking oil and other fluid levels.
- Troubleshoot problems and assess whether parts can be repaired or need to be replaced; commonly order and install replacement parts; make any required upgrades or changes to established systems to improve or prolong efficiency.
- Assist the Head of Plant operation to plan and strategize the operations activities to support the company’s plan to maximize profitability.
- In consultation with the Head of HR & Admin, implement effective people management for the operation team, including development, succession planning and retention strategies.
- Develop alternative production technologies for more cost-effective maintenance.
- Ensure maintenance costs for Biodiesel are within the approved budget.
- Evaluate the performance of all Biodiesel production facilities on new initiatives being implemented.
- Monitor the maintenance schedule and maintenance activities with the head of the maintenance team.
- Assist the Head of Maintenance in implementing and updating records for RSPO and ISCC.
- Supervise safety procedures in the Biodiesel plant with the assistance of the Safety Officer.
- Develop collaboration with the R&D Department on quality matters and process improvement.
- Manage all submissions to SD Guthrie and local authorities and overseas agencies as requested.
- Evaluate process performance and plan improvements including plant expansion and modifications where necessary.
- Develop and maintain close relations with Government authorities to ensure prompt response to problems relating to the Company and its future directions.
- Abide by laws, obligations, rules and regulations documented by management and the company.
- Ensure the continuing protection of the Company’s assets (tangible and intangible).
- Perform any other duties as directed by the Head of the company from time to time.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical or Electrical/Electronic
- 3-5 years working experience in Maintenance of Manufacturing Plant, preferably in Biodiesel Plant
- Strong mechanical and technical troubleshooting skills
- Good knowledge of plant maintenance systems, equipment reliability, and preventive maintenance
- Familiar with maintenance planning tools and software such as SAP
- Excellent communication and coordination skills across technical and cross-department stakeholders
- Understanding of ISO quality and safety standards, regulatory compliance and environmental requirements
