Provide legal advice and guidance on various matters to internal stakeholders.
- Review, draft and negotiate contracts, agreements and legal documents.
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations relevant to the industry and ensure organizational compliance.
Compliance Management
- Develop, implement and monitor compliance programs to ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Conduct regular compliance audits and assessments to identify and address areas of non-compliance.
- Collaborate with different departments to establish and maintain compliance procedures.
Contract Management
- Oversee the contract lifecycle, from negotiation to execution and beyond.
- Develop and maintain a centralized contract repository.
- Train and educate internal teams on contract-related legal matters.
Regulatory Affairs
- Interact with regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with industry-specific regulations.
- Keep abreast of changes in laws and regulations affecting the organization's operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accountancy/Economics or related. Candidate who possess a professional qualification such as ACCA/CFA is a bonus.
- 4 to 5 years of experience in Corporate Finance role. Experience in plantation company/industry is an added advantage.
- Possess skills in financial modelling, accountancy, valuation and analysis.
- Good written and communication in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
- Well versed in MS Office.
- A good team player.
- Meticulous and attention to detail.
- A resourceful person and able to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Able to work under pressure.
- Possess good health and fit to work.
- Possess own transport and willing to travel.
