Manage the operations of the Infrastructure Planning & Implementation Unit (IPIU) to ensure that all the infrastructure development projects and USP projects set by the communications minister and commission are well implemented as planned, assure the satisfactory of services by the consumers and safeguard the interest of the government and communications industry.

Job Responsibilities

Manage and execute all infrastructure and USP projects according to guidelines and ensure compliance with the requirement, SOP and regulations.

Plan for the infrastructure development and USP project; according to the project processes, setting the timeline, preparing for contingencies plan and budget to minimise unexpected outcome for the planned project.

Monitor the infrastructure project development and implementation which includes proactive planning and gap analysis to improve and produce significant impact in connectivity at all levels and areas.

Conduct and validate the periodic audit and rectify and resolve any infrastructure problems/issues at the state.

Attend high impact and telecommunications infrastructure related meetings to resolve any issues at state and local authorities.

Oversee the One Stop Centre (OSC)/ Local Authority Agency (PBT) matters at state level to ensure compliance with all the guideline and SOP for smooth running of the operations at state.

Plan and organize engagement with stakeholders to raise awareness on MCMC initiatives i.e JENDELA implementations.

Plan and execute telecommunications infrastructure hardening by coordinating with the service providers and relevant agencies.

Manage and utilise the state office budget in line with the SOP and guidelines

Qualification & Work Experience
  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering/Science/Laws or equivalent.
