Job description
HSSE Management
  1. Implement, and manage HSSE policies and procedures in compliance with legal requirements and industry best practices.
  2. Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with HSSE standards.
  3. Identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.
  4. Manage incident and accident investigations, ensuring thorough documentation and follow-up actions.
Traffic Safety Management
  1. Implement traffic management plans to ensure the safety of workers and the public during the highway widening project.
  2. Liaise with local authorities and stakeholders to minimize traffic disruptions and ensure compliance with traffic regulations.
  3. Monitor traffic conditions and implement adjustments to traffic management plans as necessary.
Training and Development
  1. Conduct HSSE and traffic safety training for all project personnel, ensuring they are aware of safety protocols and procedures.
  2. Conduct safety orientation sessions for new employees and contractors
  3. Ensure ongoing education and awareness of health and safety practices among the work
Emergency Preparedness
  1. Implement emergency response plans and procedures for the project.
  2. Ensure all site personnel are familiar with emergency procedures.
Documentation and Reporting
  1. Maintain accurate records of HSSE and traffic safety activities, including inspections, audits, incidents, and training sessions.
  2. Prepare and present regular HSSE and traffic safety reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  3. Ensure all health and safety documentations is up-to-date and accurately filed.
Collaboration and Communication
  1. Liaise with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure HSSE and traffic safety requirements are integrated into all project activities.
Regulatory Compliance
  1. Ensure compliance with all local, state and federal health and safety regulations.
  2. Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure all required permits and documentations are in place.
  3. Stay updated on changes to health and safety regulations and update policies accordingly.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
