Job Summary

The Senior Executive, Financial Operation will play a key role in managing the financial operations and reporting activities of the company. This position is responsible for preparing accurate and timely financial and management reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting key finance functions such as budget preparation, analysis, and monitoring, Sukuk programme reporting, loan management, and investment tracking.

The role provides an excellent opportunity to gain in-depth exposure to large-scale infrastructure financing and structured Sukuk programmes under Malaysia’s flagship East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) project. The Executive will also contribute to strengthening financial governance, enhancing reporting efficiency, and supporting the continuous improvement and digitalisation initiatives within the finance function.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with MFRS/IFRS.
  • Support the preparation of management reports, variance analysis, and consolidation of financial data.
  • Review and monitoring of annual budgets, including variance and trend analysis to support management decision-making.
  • Track budget utilization and provide regular updates on financial performance against approved budgets and forecasts.
  • Involved in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and internal financial reporting requirements.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax agents, and other stakeholders to ensure timely completion of statutory obligations.
  • Maintain and update financial records to support audit, compliance, and management reporting.
  • Support Sukuk programme reporting, loan disbursement tracking, and investment monitoring activities.
  • Participate in process improvement, financial digitalisation, and other transformation initiatives within the finance function to enhance operational efficiency.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Big 4 audit firm.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards (MFRS/IFRS) and financial reporting principles.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting or ERP systems is an advantage.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • A team player with a proactive and learning mindset.
