Job summary

Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN) invites an experienced risk management professional to join its Risk Management Division in Kuala Lumpur. The role centers on conducting comprehensive risk assessments, ensuring alignment with the Bank’s strategy and risk appetite, and supporting climate risk management initiatives.

You will handle data collection and reporting, participate in special projects, and provide Secretariat support for risk committees.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in risk management.
• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as risk management, finance, or a related discipline.
• Proficiency in data analysis, data collection and reporting
• Experience in climate risk management or related fields is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of Banking Industry, related BNM Regulations.
• Strong experience and background in Risk Management.
• Strong analytical skills to assess and evaluate risk effectively.
• Proficiency in using data analysis tools and software for gathering, analysing, and interpreting data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey risk assessment findings and recommendations clearly.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive project risk assessments
• Review project risk assessments to ensure alignment with the Bank’s strategy and risk appetite.
• Facilitate the implementation of climate risk management
• Perform groundwork for the implementation of Climate Risk Stress Testing for credit risk model re-calibration & re-development exercise.
• Participate / assist in planning and managing, special projects where applicable.
• Identify, evaluate and recommend projects and initiatives in line with the overall RMD plan.
• Secretariat for MRC and BRMC.
• Ensure meeting’s agenda, papers, minutes, matters arising and / or resolutions are prepared, uploaded to Boardpac and circulated to related stakeholders.
