Overview
We are seeking a Senior Executive, Corporate Affairs to manage corporate affairs strategies, stakeholder engagement, corporate communications, CSR initiatives, and regulatory compliance within the Oil & Gas industry.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement corporate affairs strategies aligned with business objectives
- Manage relationships with government bodies, industry associations, clients, and media
- Monitor public policy, regulatory updates, and industry trends
- Lead CSR and sustainability initiatives
- Oversee internal and external communications, including press releases and presentations
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain active PETRONAS license
- Manage company registrations with clients
- Ensure marketing materials comply with corporate branding
- Organise and attend exhibitions and promotional events
- Support initiatives to improve facilities performance and operational efficiency
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations, Communications, Political Science, or related field
- Master’s Degree is an advantage
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in the Oil & Gas industry
- Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Good understanding of public policy and regulatory environments
- Able to manage multiple tasks under pressure
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail
Additional Requirements
(Advantageous but not mandatory)
- Willingness to travel and attend meetings, exhibitions, and industry events when required
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision and meet tight deadlines
- Strong coordination skills with cross-functional teams
- Familiar with PETRONAS registration, licensing, and compliance processes is an advantage
- Experience managing external agencies (media, PR, event organisers) is an added advantage
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; Bahasa Malaysia proficiency is an added advantage
