Job summary

A global lift service provider based in Malaysia is seeking a qualified Quantity Surveyor to manage progress claims, ensure timely payments, and provide contract support. The ideal candidate should possess a minimum Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying and have at least one year of relevant experience. Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, are essential for this role, as is the ability to liaise with both internal and external customers.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in construction, consultancy, or developer-related roles.

  • Prepare and submit progress claims and related documents on time.
  • Attend meetings and follow up with consultants on certifications.
  • Ensure timely payment by coordinating with Project, Sales, and Credit teams.
  • Support in agreements and resolve final accounts within 3 months post-completion.
  • Provide contract advice and support, including claims evaluation.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and submit progress claims and related documents (VO, insurance, etc.) on time.
  • Attend internal/external meetings and follow up with consultants/main contractors on certifications.
  • Ensure timely payment by coordinating with Project, Sales, and Credit teams; assist in collections.
  • Support in agreements (e.g., temporary use, settlement), resolve final accounts within 3 months post-completion.
  • Use SAP for invoicing, VO input, reconciliation; initiate follow-ups for unpaid or uncertified items.
  • Provide contract advice and support, including claims evaluation, LAD/back charge management, and negotiations.
  • Manage banker’s guarantees, performance bonds, and ensure cancellation upon job completion.
  • Coordinate with insurance brokers to secure the required project insurance.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory submissions (CIDB, NIOSH, etc.).
  • Maintain regular reporting, database updates, and meet group requirements.
Qualifications
