Job Purpose
The Business Analyst supports the Senior Manager, Business Planning & Insights (BPI) by providing research, data analysis, and reporting to drive strategic and operational decision-making. This role ensures divisional strategies are grounded in market insights, aligned with corporate objectives, and executed effectively across functions. The Business Analyst contributes directly to business planning, performance tracking, and the successful delivery of key initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Data Analysis & Forecasting
- Gather, validate, and analyse internal and external data (market trends, customer insights, competitor benchmarking).
- Support forecasting and scenario planning exercises for business and marketing strategies.
- Strategic & Business Planning Support
- Assist in the preparation of divisional business plans and strategic reports.
- Contribute to aligning marketing and customer strategies with broader business objectives.
- Support KPI development, monitoring, and reporting.
- Insights & Reporting
- Prepare dashboards, reports, and presentations for senior management.
- Translate data into insights and actionable recommendations.
- Monitor performance against established KPIs and identify improvement areas.
- Project/Initiative Support and Execution
- Provide analytical support to cross-functional projects led by the Senior Manager.
- Track timelines, resources, and deliverables to ensure successful execution.
- Highlight risks, bottlenecks, and opportunities for greater efficiency.
- Collaboration & Knowledge-Sharing
- Work closely with Marketing, Sales, Sales Operations and Customer Experience teams to gather inputs.
- Ensure insights are communicated clearly to stakeholders and integrated into decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, Finance, Data Analytics, or related fields.
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience in business analysis, strategic planning, or data analytics. Exposure to marketing, sales, or customer experience functions is an advantage.
- Proficiency in Excel and data visualisation tools, e.g. Power BI.
- Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis skills.
- Knowledge of forecasting, scenario planning, and KPI management.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a matrix structure.
- Attention to detail and organisational skills.
