Responsible to design and develop user‑centric, responsive, and accessible digital interfaces to enhance user experience and facilitate the seamless operation of MCMC's geospatial digital products, thereby supporting citizen‑centric public service delivery and national digital transformation.
Job Responsibilities
- 1) Conduct User Research and Usability Testing – To gather actionable insights on user behaviors, preferences, and pain points that inform design strategies and user interface requirements.
- 2) Develop Interactive Wireframes and High‑Fidelity Prototypes – To communicate design ideas effectively and obtain early feedback from stakeholders and end‑users before implementation.
- 3) Design User Interfaces for Web and Mobile Platforms – To ensure a consistent, intuitive, and visually appealing user experience across all MCMC's geospatial digital solutions.
- 4) Ensure Design Accessibility and Inclusivity – To comply with WCAG and other accessibility standards, enabling universal access to public digital platforms, including those with disabilities.
- 5) Collaborate with Frontend and Backend Developers – To ensure seamless translation of UX designs into functional interfaces and that design intent is preserved in implementation.
- 6) Maintain and Iterate on Design Systems and Guidelines – To promote consistency, reusability, and efficiency across digital products, reducing design and development redundancy.
- 7) Perform Interface and Experience Validation – To assess real‑world usability, responsiveness across devices, and load performance, ensuring a reliable and efficient user journey.
- 8) Stay Up to Date with Design Trends and Emerging Tools – To integrate innovative solutions and maintain design relevance in a fast‑evolving digital ecosystem.
- 9) Support the Continuous Enhancement of Digital Platforms – To refine interfaces based on feedback, analytics, and evolving functional needs of other DISD initiatives.
- 10) Contribute to Stakeholder Workshops and Demonstrations – To present design concepts, gather inputs, and facilitate understanding of design rationale to support adoption and alignment.
Qualification & Work Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in UX Design, Interaction Design, Human‑Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or equivalent from a recognized university with minimum CGPA 3.00.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in UX design for web and mobile applications, with proven involvement in government, geospatial, or public service platforms preferred.
- Basic understanding of communication network for fixed and mobile.
- Proficiency in UX tools (e.g. Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, InVision).
- Strong skills in prototyping, wireframing, and user journey mapping.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG), responsive design, and front‑end development fundamentals.
- Experience conducting user testing, A/B testing, and interpreting UX analytics.
Candidate must be willing to work in Cyberjaya.
