Job description

Drive the Finance team to achieve excellence in financial operations, reporting, budgeting, analysis, tax, audit, and compliance functions for the Group. This role is pivotal in ensuring accurate and timely payments and invoicing, delivering reliable financial and management reports, overseeing audits and tax matters, managing cash flow effectively, and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships. Additionally, the role will lead special projects such as e-invoicing implementation, procurement administration, process improvements, system rollouts, business development initiatives, cross-department collaborations, and corporate finance activities.

What You’ll Do:
Lead the Accounts Payable Team

Review weekly invoices and payment requests for the Group to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies. Oversee the approval process, resolve any discrepancies, and coordinate with vendors and internal teams to ensure timely payments. In the absence of junior staff, you will be responsible for preparing payments.

Lead Financial Reporting & Oversight

Review monthly management accounts for the Group of companies, resolve discrepancies, and ensure accurate, timely reporting in line with accounting standards and policies.

Manage Cash Flow & Treasury Planning

Oversee cash flow, working capital, and financing needs—including projections, treasury activities, and engagement with financial institutions such as new bank account opening and updating new bank signatories.

Ensure Compliance in Audit, Tax & Transfer Pricing

Lead statutory audits and ensure compliance with corporate tax, SST, withholding tax, transfer pricing, and e-Invoicing requirements—delivering timely and accurate submissions.

Strengthen Controls

Review internal processes and continuously enhance internal controls to mitigate financial and operational risks.

Lead Talent Development & Cross-Functional Collaboration

Manage and coach team members to build a strong leadership pipeline while working closely with matrix teams and stakeholders to ensure the smooth execution of financial operations.

What We're Looking For:

Degree in Accounting or Finance/ACCA/MICPA/CPA/CIMA or equivalent.

Candidates must possess at least 4‑6 years of audit experience. Prior experience at a top 10 audit firm is an added advantage.

A well‑rounded finance professional with expertise in treasury management and experience coordinating with the company secretary.

Hands‑on in preparing payments, monthly management accounts and financial statements, with exposure to stakeholder reporting, cash‑flow planning, tax planning, overseeing procurement administration and working with auditors and tax agents.

Able to manage and oversee the complete e‑invoicing lifecycle, from implementation to compliance.

Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Technical Skills:

Strong knowledge of accounting standards and principles.

Well‑versed in tax matters and the importance of regulatory compliance.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and AI reporting tools.
