Job summary

A leading oil palm plantation company in Sarawak is seeking an experienced Executive to oversee the daily operations of its estate. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field and have over 10 years of managerial experience in oil palm plantations. Responsibilities include developing strategic plans, ensuring compliance with agricultural best practices, and preparing performance reports. Candidates must have strong leadership skills and be willing to work in remote locations.

Job description

Qualifications

• Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Science / Forestry / Plantation Management, or related field
• Advanced qualifications in agriculture or estate management are an advantage
• At least 10 years of experience in an Executive and/or Managerial role in oil palm plantation
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a large workforce
• Excellent planning and organizational abilities, capable of managing multiple priorities
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels
• Ability to work independently and handle the challenges of managing a large oil palm estate
• Willingness to be based in remote locations and adapt to estate life

Job Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the estate, including harvesting, maintenance, upkeep, transportation & infrastructure
• Develop and implement strategic plans for the estate, including crop rotation, fertilization, pest control, and irrigation
• Implement and maintain best agricultural practices to maximize yield according to the Company’s policies and procedures
• Ensure all plantation activities align with the established work plan, budget, and company strategic plan
• Develop and implement plantation strategies to achieve production targets
• Ensure compliance with company practices and guidelines in all estate operations
• Prepare and submit regular reports on estate performance, including yield, labor, and financial data, to the head office
