Medtronic Malaysia Operations Sdn. Bhd. is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Equipment Engineer to drive installation, qualification, and maintenance of production equipment at our Kulim site.

You will collaborate with engineering teams to ensure reliability and uptime as we expand our new Malaysia venture. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, 7+ years in manufacturing (medical devices preferred), hands-on equipment experience, and proficiency in English and Malay, with

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related discipline
• Minimum 7 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in medical devices or regulated industries
• Hands-on experience with manufacturing equipment installation, setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance
• Experience using Minitab for data analysis and SPC implementation
• Lean Six Sigma experience and continuous improvement background
• Proficient in English and Malay, willingness to travel internationally

Responsabilidades

• Evaluate, select, and order equipment that is cost-effective for manufacturing products
• Oversee installation, qualification, modification, upgrade, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment
• Maintain records on equipment manufacturers’ notices, upgrades, and safety issues
• Study equipment performance and reliability to improve uptime
• Develop programs and solutions to increase uptime and resolve equipment issues
• Provide training to production personnel, technicians, and engineers
• Lead or participate in development, qualification, and validation activities for product transfers
• Design machine layouts to optimize plant efficiency and productivity
