Job summary

bp is seeking a Senior Enterprise Technology Engineer in a hybrid role in Malaysia. The successful candidate will apply SAP BW/4HANA, HANA SQL and ABAP expertise to deliver analytics across Finance and Planning. Experience with BPC Embedded Planning, SAC, and CDS views is required.

Strong data modeling and visualization skills, plus migration and agile delivery experience, are essential to lead complex SAP implementations and improve reporting capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree; professional certification or master’s degree preferred.
• Over 10 years’ hands-on SAP BW/4HANA, HANA SQL and ABAP experience.
• Min 3 years in BPC Embedded Planning or SAC Enterprise Planning.
• Strong knowledge of S/4HANA Embedded Analytics and CDS views.
• Experience with data modeling, integration and visualization.

Responsibilities

• Lead SAP BW/4HANA modeling and migration activities.
• Support planning, budgeting and forecasting using BPC/SAC.
• Collaborate with finance and planning teams to deliver analytics.
• Ensure data quality, testing (UAT) and cutover planning.
• Mentor teams and drive agile project execution.

Let me tell you about the role We are seeking a Senior Enterprise Technology Engineer with strong hands‑on experience in SAP BW on/for HANA, Native HANA, ABAP, Analysis for Office, BPC Embedded Planning, and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).

Essential Education

Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline.

Professional certification, master’s degree, or extensive relevant work experience.

Certifications

SAP BW on HANA, BW4HANA, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Certified (preferred)

Essential Experience and Job Requirements

• Over 10 years of hands‑on experience with SAP BW/4HANA Modeling Tools, SAP HANA SQL, and ABAP.
• At least 3 years of experience with SAP BPC Embedded Planning or SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Enterprise Planning.
• Familiarity with Finance and Planning modules.
• Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Embedded Analytics, BW/4HANA, BPC, and Core Data Services (CDS) Views.
• Proficient in data modeling, data integration, and data visualization.
• Experience with Cloud Connectors or SAP Data Intelligence is a plus.
• Advanced knowledge of databases and SQL.
• Working knowledge of Databricks is an added advantage.
• Participated in a minimum of 2–3 full‑cycle SAP implementations or rollouts.
• Experience with BW upgrades or BW to BW/4HANA migrations, including at least exposure to migration activities.
• Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
• Experience with unit testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and cutover planning.
• Experience designing and supporting SAP BPC Embedded Planning sequences, including flat file upload processes, data validations, and data load troubleshooting.
• Understanding of Labor & Overhead (L&O) planning processes, including workforce cost planning, allocations, cost center planning, and associated reporting requirements.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to lead initiatives through technical influence.
