Qualifications

  • 10+ years total experience, 6+ in large-scale applications, and 3+ in people management.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, data structures, and algorithms.
  • Experience with distributed systems handling large amounts of data.
  • Excellent coding skills in Golang, Python, C++, or Java.
  • Very good understanding of web technologies.
  • Strong understanding of RDBMS and/or messaging platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Drive change and motivate engineers to develop simple solutions to complex problems.
  • Implement effective engineering processes and champion their adoption.
  • Partner with tech leads and architects on problem‑solving.
  • Mentor direct reports through personal and performance management.
  • Enable engineers to make independent decisions that lead to recognition.
  • Influence a culture of engineering craftsmanship and excellence.
  • Initiate cross‑functional collaboration with Product, Business, and Operations, gathering feedback and requirements.
  • Ensure the team understands Razorpay’s goals and how their work fits into the bigger picture.
