A leading electronics manufacturing service provider in Malaysia is seeking a Supplier / Customer Quality Engineer. The role involves managing quality issues with suppliers and customers, preparing quality documentation, and supporting audits. Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, and FMEA.
  • Experience with PCBA manufacturing is preferred.

Job description

We have opportunities in the area of the Supplier Quality & Customer Quality Engineering Department. Coming on board as a quality engineer, you will be the key contact point for our major material suppliers and customers and ensure good quality of incoming material and outgoing products to customers. You will work closely with the internal supply chain team, manufacturing and process engineering team within the organization.

Job Responsibilities - Supplier / Customer Quality Engineer

Work with cross-function teams to establish root cause and corrective action in 8D report on customer quality issues as requested based on established due date.

Liaise with customers on RMA issues.

Responsible for investigating and defining corrective actions for customer quality issues.

Manage all customer complaints and work through them to ensure issues are resolved and closed.

Support customer audits (process, system, and product).

Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 14001, or other applicable standards.

Prepare and maintain quality documentation such as Control Plans, PFMEA, and Inspection Reports.

Work closely with material suppliers on material quality issues.

Assist in new product development activities (NPI) to avoid quality escalation issuesp>

Organize and conduct customer meeting/ conference call.

Prepare and update all necessary quality reports as required by customers.

Skills and Qualification

Candidates must possess at least Bachelor’s Degree/Professional Degree in Electrical & Electronics / Mechanical/ Mechatronics/Material Engineering.

Minimum 5 years of working experience handling Supplier or Customer Quality issues in Electronics Manufacturing Industry.

Strong knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA).

Candidates with PCBA manufacturing knowledge will be considered.
