Job summary

EP Engineering in Malaysia is seeking a Senior Engineer, Production Operations to lead offshore and onshore production activities, requiring at least five years post- qualification oil/gas experience and the ability to rapidly assimilate complex operations within a multi-discipline team.

You will develop troubleshooting programmes for remote operations, participate in SIMOPS risk management, and travel offshore frequently to ensure safe, compliant, and successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• Qualification in an appropriate discipline, preferably at University level.
• At least 5 years post qualification relevant offshore and/or onshore oil/gas experience.
• Able to assimilate and assess complex operational environments and SIMOPS risk interactions in a multi-discipline team.
• Experience developing troubleshooting programmes and workscopes for remote operating environments.
• Willingness for frequent offshore trips of an unscheduled nature and extensive duration.
• Autonomous, positive and flexible work ethic with the ability to manage multiple high priority scopes in stressful environments offshore/onshore while maintaining regulatory compliance.
• Current BOSIET.
• Current AME medical.
• Proven personal management and interpersonal skills with ability to operate offshore and onshore.
• Proven presentation, numeric and literacy competencies.
• Proven analytical and diagnostic skills.

• Must be able to rapidly assimilate, understand and assess complex operational environments and associated SIMOPS risk interactions in a multi-discipline team situation, with an ability to prioritise activities as required to meet business objectives.
• Have some experience in developing troubleshooting programmes and workscopes to deliver same in a remote operating environment.
• Be prepared for frequent offshore trips of an unscheduled nature and extensive duration with responsibility to deliver a successful outcome.
• Autonomous, positive and flexible work ethic with the ability to work several high priority scopes simultaneously in a stressful environment on and offshore remaining in regulatory compliance whilst doing so.
• Current BOSIET.
• Current AME medical.
• Proven personal management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to comfortably operate and communicate at an operational level offshore and management level onshore.
