We are currently looking for talented individuals to join us for the following role.

We are currently based at KL Eco City, Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Understand project specifications and requirements of the assigned project (may include construction, commissioning and offshore assignments), as well as industry standards, classification society and regulatory requirements.
• Develop design philosophies, engineering specifications, PFD and P&ID drawings, data sheets, calculations, and equipment sizing specific to the assigned project, and validate them with the Lead Engineer.
• Independently evaluate the process aspect of all bids received for packages from various suppliers, involve in the technical bid evaluation process to ensure selected vendors meet technical/engineering requirements stipulated in the project specifications, and provide assessments in consultation with the Lead Engineer to the Package Engineer.
• Independently prepare technical reports (flare & blow down, flare radiation, process simulation basis, heat and material balance, process control description, utility summary, line list and set point list), safety chart and Process Context & Engineering documentation for the assigned project.
• Independently develop solutions to technical and engineering problems by analyzing issues/data, interpreting analyses and evaluating various options/measures using experience, precedents and professional references.
• Participate in safety meetings, explain the process system to the committee, and close observations and recommendations in a timely manner.
• Participate in key stakeholder meetings (Client, Supplier, Sub-contractor, Classification Society), review stakeholders’ documents, address interface/implementation/execution issues, and escal as necessary to ensure the project proceeds timely and smoothly.
• Provide technical and engineering support and advice to Construction/Commissioning work at site, troubleshoot and follow up to rectify gaps or problems, and where necessary provide off‑site support and advice.
• Capture lessons learned in your functional area, enter them in MIMS, and close out project‑related MIMS actions.
• Mentor Junior Engineers.
