A leading engineering solutions company in Malaysia seeks a skilled individual for managing Bill of Material (BOM) data entry and engineering change orders. You will communicate with customers to ensure data accuracy and support cross-functional teams. A diploma with 5 years of experience or a degree is preferred. Strong skills in Engineering Change Management and MRP systems are essential. This role also involves supporting project initiatives and maintaining data integrity.
Overall responsible Bill of Material (BOM), item master and Engineering Change Order (ECO) data entry and administration into company MRP and other supporting system. The engineering activities include BOM generation, component part number information maintenance, customer documentation / drawing release, change management documentation, and etc.
Responsible in interpreting customer BOM and documents, generate new BOM and verification to ensure accuracy of data entry.
Communicate directly with customer on BOM or engineering changes discrepancy pertaining to the BOM and engineering change update in Manex and Harmony system.
For senior position and above, he/she need to facilitate and coordinate within cross functional teams for complex engineering change management.
Assist the Section Manager in the implementation of improvement initiatives and assigned projects.
Perform system setup and data validation into Manex and Harmony system; and maintain data integrity.
Support CFT in cross referencing customer BOM with in-house part numbers.
Manage the release of documentation - such as specifications, drawings, customer BOMs, and technical updates, using the Harmony system.
Support CFT in RFQ process.
Preferred diploma with 5 years of experience.
Degree - no experience needed.
Qualified/skilled in Engineering Change Management.
Qualified/skilled in Electro Mechanical Engineering BOM and component selection.
Good understanding on how MRP system works.
Data Analyze - Good troubleshooting system skills (fault finding).
Good interpersonal skills, GDP and wide knowledge corresponding with audit on FDA and ISO standards.
