Job summary

Axonect in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a cybersecurity professional to help implement and manage the Cyber Threat and Vulnerability Management program, coordinate VAPT exercises, and track vulnerabilities across the IT estate.

The role requires 4+ years in cybersecurity, familiarity with Nessus and CrowdStrike, and the ability to collaborate with SOC and IT teams to drive remediation and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation and ongoing management of the Cyber Threat and Vulnerability Management (CTVM) program
• Coordinate VAPT exercises and conduct internal and external vulnerability scans
• Track vulnerabilities, prioritize risks, and coordinate remediation activities, including patching and infrastructure or application updates
• Maintain accurate inventories of IT hardware, software, and cloud assets
• Support cybersecurity policies, procedures, governance, and regulatory compliance
• Monitor security threats and collaborate with SOC, MDR providers, and internal IT teams on incident remediation
• Maintain cybersecurity KPIs, KRIs, dashboards, and management reports
• Provide security guidance to stakeholders and stay updated on emerging cyber threats and vulnerabilities

Person Specifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT Security, Cybersecurity, or a related field
• 4+ years of experience in cybersecurity, vulnerability management, SOC operations, penetration testing, or cyber threat intelligence
• Basic understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, and cybersecurity principles
• Familiarity with vulnerability assessment, patch management, security monitoring, and remediation processes
• Exposure to tools such as Nessus, CrowdStrike Falcon, Burp Suite, AWS security tools, MDR solutions, ServiceNow, and Jira
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, communication, and teamwork skills
• Relevant cybersecurity, vulnerability management, CEH, ITIL, CISA, or equivalent certifications are advantageous
