Job summary

A private engineering firm in Subang Jaya is seeking a Senior Electrical/Mechanical Engineer to perform detailed designs and manage projects. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and over 3 years of experience. Responsibilities include design, stakeholder meetings, and project management. Strong skills in communication, software, and initiative are required.

Qualifications

• At least more than 3 years of working experience in the related field.
• Experience in designs for 275kV / 132kV / 33kV / 11kV / LV Electrical System.
• Design experience for ACMV services, fire protection services, and plumbing services.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial plant room sizing and cost estimation for electrical/mechanical services.
• Develop detailed electrical/mechanical system designs, including calculations.
• Attend meetings with stakeholders to discuss project progress.
• Coordinate with authorities and service providers for project execution.
• Prepare clarifications, risk checks, and design inputs for tenders.
• Oversee and manage implementation of electrical/mechanical systems on-site.

Senior Electrical/Mechanical Engineer/Designer

Candidate must possess at least a recognized Degree in Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering or equivalent recognized by the Board of Engineers, Malaysia.

Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, negotiation and reporting skills.

Possess strong initiatives, fast learning ability, able to work independently and with high accountability.

Must be literate in English and have a good knowledge to use computer, computer software, e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, AutoCAD etc.

At least more than 3 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.

Experience in designs for 275kV / 132kV / 33kV / 11kV / LV Electrical System in accordance with MS, IEC and other related standards would be advantageous.

Design experience for ACMV services, fire protection services, cold water & sanitary plumbing services, lift services, etc.

Candidates with PEPC will be added advantage.

Job Responsibilities
